The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. We help governments in developing countries reduce poverty and build prosperity by providing them with money and technical expertise they need for a wide range of projects—such as education, health, infrastructure, government reforms, and for many other purposes. In particular, the World Bank works with countries to provide safe, clean and affordable transport for all. We see sustainable mobility as crucial because it gives access to jobs, education and healthcare; it connects people, goods and services to markets, and is a key driver of growth; finally, lowering the carbon footprint of the sector is essential to tackle climate change.
Sponsorship opportunities are ongoing. If your organization is interested in supporting the Sustainable Transport Award, please see our Sponsorship page and contact Michael.Kodransky@itdp.org for more information.
